    Portland Food Finds

Hello! And Happy Fall! I have definitely taken a hiatus from the blog for the past 2 months, but work and travel had us a little consumed. We recently went on a big trip to the Pacific Northwest, and had a vacation to remember! This place was on my bucket list for a long time, and love that my sister and best friend moved out there so we would have a reason to visit. We started our trip in Portland, Oregon to see Katie; she’s busy killing it in vet school at Corvallis, but drove over to the city for a few days. The Pacific Northwest does not lack food…

    Summer Bucket List

This time of year is always my favorite, for some reason it feels like an exciting time as kids get out of school and the weather perks up. Summer has always meant traveling, pool parties, and grilling burgers, and could easily be my favorite time of the year. But lately I feel like summer flies by, and I’m missing out on the fun summer evenings, homemade ice cream, and backyard barbecues. This whole adulting thing is over-rated. Recently I’ve seen some bloggers making a summer bucket list, and I thought it would be a good idea to make one too. Maybe it would force me to slow down and enjoy this…

    New York: Things to Do

I can’t believe one month ago we were in New York on our mini spring vacation. This has to be one of my favorite trips I’ve taken with Phil, and we wanted to share some of things we did while there. Pack your walking shoes, and we hope you’re able to visit some of our favorite spots! Brooklyn Neither of us had been to Brooklyn before, and it was a blast! We went on a Saturday, so we could attend Smorgasburg (Clink the link for my review!) Which is also on Sundays, just make sure you check the locations because they are in different spots. Take the ferry (much less expensive)…

Food Finds: New York City Part 2

We had so much fun eating our way through New York, we had to make it two posts! So for today, I am featuring our favorite brunch spot and some sweet treats we had walking through the city. Brunch Walking around Sunday we discovered Anejo, a Mexican restaurant that has an amazing brunch deal. For $45 per person, you can drink and eat small plates all you want for up to 3 hours! If we lived in Tribeca, we’d be here every weekend! We didn’t do the deal because of plans later, but we tried the tacos and margaritas off the menu. This place was delicious and didn’t disappoint! The…

Food Finds: New York City Part 1

I love discovering new cuisine when traveling, and my number one rule is to always eat locally. New York City has numerous options, in every part of the city, and we aimed to try as much as we could! What I love about New York is you can wake up for a pastry, walk to the Thai restaurant for lunch, and finish the night with a bowl of pasta. What the life! The options are limitless, and I can honestly say we did not have a bad meal. It can also be overwhelming trying to pick somewhere to eat, so today I thought I would share some of our favorite…

    Vacation Recap

Hello! I know, long time, no see! The month of April has been absolutely crazy, from work schedules to vacation time to settling back into our routine. I knew if I tried to write blog posts with all of that going on, things would be less than acceptable. So, the blog took a break too, but we’re back with some new ideas ahead. If you’re planning a trip to New York anytime soon, I’ll have some upcoming posts featuring our travel! Since it’s Monday, I thought I would keep things short and sweet with a vacation recap. We took a week off to have a break from work, and we…
