Home Find: Our New Screen Porch

We learned quickly when buying a home that it trying to decorate the whole house can become costly and time consuming. So, after we purchased a few things we needed (and wanted), we started our house fund! This fund covers any repairs, updates, fees, and decorating we wanted to do around the house, and each month we put a little away to make sure we have a safety net. Since Memorial Day came with some sales for outdoor furniture and decor, we decided to spruce up our side porch with some of the money we had saved so we could enjoy it this summer. We already had this chair set…

    Summer Bucket List

This time of year is always my favorite, for some reason it feels like an exciting time as kids get out of school and the weather perks up. Summer has always meant traveling, pool parties, and grilling burgers, and could easily be my favorite time of the year. But lately I feel like summer flies by, and I’m missing out on the fun summer evenings, homemade ice cream, and backyard barbecues. This whole adulting thing is over-rated. Recently I’ve seen some bloggers making a summer bucket list, and I thought it would be a good idea to make one too. Maybe it would force me to slow down and enjoy this…

    Home Finds: Spring Additions

Minus some weather snaps here and there, Spring is here in Columbia! I like to think Masters Weekend brings this season in, and it was a wonderful weekend spent with friends and watching the Masters on Sunday with Phil. I have not always been a big golf fan, but he is slowly converting me. These past few days we’ve added a few home decorations to bring in the Spring season, and wanted to share them with you all for a little home inspiration. When we moved into our apartment, I had found some pillows from Target that went really well with our decor. But they needed some updating in our…

    Bathtub Essentials

Who doesn’t love thirty minutes of self care with a luxurious bath? Guess what? It does not take a fancy bathtub to have that “spa feeling and experience”. It just takes a few items to use in your bathroom space.  Some of you have asked about a couple of bathroom accessories I’ve had on my Instagram stories, and today I am sharing  what I think are those “bathtub essentials” so you can add them to your room. The first thing you need is a bath caddy, and one that will preferably hold all of your needs in one place. Safely too, I might add. I found this one on Amazon,…

    Our Master Bedroom

Happy Monday! This past weekend was spent celebrating a wonderful man’s birthday, my father-in-law! We had a great time with family just spending time together. Today I thought I would share with you the first “fully” decorated room we have completed in our new home, our master bedroom! I really wanted this room to be the place that we could relax in, so completing it first was top priority. When we registered, I had no idea we would be buying this home, but everything fit perfectly with our vision. I found most of our decorations at Target, and our new furniture at Rooms to Go. I love neutrals, and I…

    Friday Find: Our New Home!

Happy Friday! I am so excited to share for the Friday Find our new home! If you have followed my Instagram stories, then you know that we closed on our first home Wednesday. Over the past few days, we have moved some things here and there, but today is officially MOVE IN DAY! I thought I would share some pictures, before we bought it (when doing some walk throughs), and then some pictures I took the first day to show you why I fell in love with this beautiful bungalow. This house has so much charm, and that is exactly what we were looking for! The couple who renovated this…
