    Juggling it All

I recently discovered the SHE Podcast by Jordan Lee Dooley, after listening to her interview on the Refined Collective. Some of her recent episodes really resonated with me, and felt the message could be shared with you all. As we enter the holiday season, and usually the busiest time of the year, we’re faced with the question of how to balance it all. Her episode “Overwhelmed vs Over-committed” was what I needed this week, and need to apply this holiday season. Tis the season of family time, holiday parties, and gift giving; while this is suppose to be the merriest time of the year, most of us end the season…

Friday Find: Tazza Kitchen New Menu

Happy Friday! We made it through another week, and now it’s time for the weekend! And who doesn’t love a fun place to gather with friends for good drinks and delicious food? Remember my post about Tazza Kitchen Brunch?! It’s still one of our favorites in Columbia, and just a couple of weeks ago we went with friends for the new menu. They have recently released their new drinks for the summer, and you can’t go wrong with one of their beautiful cocktails. While sipping on something delicious, make sure you order some apps. We got the three spread option with toasted bread, along with the cast iron goat cheese.…

Podcast Recap: Samantha Ponder on the Refined Collective

Up until 2015, Samantha Ponder, to me, was just a reporter on ESPN. The female empowerment, ” go girl” side of me thought it was neat that a female reporter was commentating on football, but that was about it.¬† When I started following her on Instagram, I became inspired by her authentic self and how real she was on social media. She laughs at her “mom fails”, isn’t afraid to lounge around in sweats for 95% of the time, and is open about her beliefs. Here was someone who was easy to relate to, and kind of inspiring. Earlier this month she was interviewed by the Refined Collective Podcast, and…

    Brain Dump: Blog Cleanse

Happy July! Can you believe we are already half way through 2018? I know I can’t, and it seems like each time I blink, we’re already in a new month. And this past month, the blog has been neglected. I think some of it has to do with busy schedules, but I’ve also been in a slump when it comes to content. To be honest, reading over the past few posts, the content is not the best and I’m not satisfied. It sounds rushed, like I am just trying to produce a post, and it’s not fair to my readers. I felt like I needed something multiple times a week,…

    Happy Registered Dietitian Day!

Happy Registered Dietitian Day! How ironic is it #nationalpotatochipday and Pi Day (3.14) ¬†fall on RD Day?! I think all RD’s will agree we have a mutual love for potato chips and pie. First, I want to recognize all of the dietitians; this diverse field is full of extremely smart men and women who work to ensure proper nutrition for all walks of life at all different stages of life. Most people assume (and we completely get it, the media has made it seem that way) we’re just around to talk about weight loss and the latest fitness trends. But we’re do so much more! Some dietitians provide nutrition counseling…

    Friday Find: Our New Home!

Happy Friday! I am so excited to share for the Friday Find our new home! If you have followed my Instagram stories, then you know that we closed on our first home Wednesday. Over the past few days, we have moved some things here and there, but today is officially MOVE IN DAY! I thought I would share some pictures, before we bought it (when doing some walk throughs), and then some pictures I took the first day to show you why I fell in love with this beautiful bungalow. This house has so much charm, and that is exactly what we were looking for! The couple who renovated this…
