Happy Friday! We made it through another week, and now it’s time for the weekend! And who doesn’t love a fun place to gather with friends for good drinks and delicious food? Remember my post about Tazza Kitchen Brunch?! It’s still one of our favorites in Columbia, and just a couple of weeks ago we went with friends for the new menu. They have recently released their new drinks for the summer, and you can’t go wrong with one of their beautiful cocktails.

This isn’t the best picture, but wanted to share the lovely patio they have!

While sipping on something delicious, make sure you order some apps. We got the three spread option with toasted bread, along with the cast iron goat cheese. I didn’t enjoy the hummus as much, but the pimento cheese and the fig spread were to die for. The cast iron goat cheese has always been a favorite of mine and Phils, but they also do cast iron veggies that are always delicious. For dinner, all four of us got the tacos and one side. The tacos range from veggie option to brisket to the catch of the day; I chose the potato taco and the catch of the day, which was mahi mahi with the simple salad (soo good!)

These tacos were amazing!

For drinks, the margarita is probably one of the best in town and I love how it’s available all year! I tried the Lil Twitch, which includes vida mezcal, espolon blanco, velvet falernum, violette liquor, lemon, agave, sage, and then topped with fresh blueberries. This drink was smoky, but also very fresh tasting, if those two flavors can be combined, and loved it paired with the tacos or one of their salads. When Phil and I went back for date night the following weekend, I got the “So fresh, so green” drink that includes luksusowa vodka, lemon, green apple, cucumber, mint, simple syrup, and topped with soda. This comes in a tall glass, and you probably only need 1 for the night, but you can enjoy it with some chips and quac, or with the trio of spreads!

Tazza Kitchen has always been a favorite, and the perfect place to take friends to for a Friday night drink or a fun dinner. Which drink have you tried and enjoyed?!

Happy Weekend!
