Food Find: Summer Shrimp Orzo Salad

This past weekend Phil and I traveled to Virginia for my cousin’s wedding, and what a beautiful one it was! We loved getting to catch up with family, and dance the night away celebrating Turner and Ginna. Ginna looked gorgeous, and the wedding could not have been more perfect! It was a quick trip, and we had to hurry back to Columbia on Sunday to get ready for the week. The heat we’ve recently had has been tough, and we both wanted something light for supper that night. We each tossed out ideas, and finally decided on some kind of salad. To make the “perfect summer salad”, I picked up…

    Fashion Find: Aerie Bathing Suits

I feel like summer was official after a couple of weekends ago at my friend’s, Shannon, house where she hosted a pool party and low country boil. It was so much fun to hang out with friends sipping on rose in the pool, and then sitting around eating crab and shrimp while catching up. Us girls had fun talking bathing suits, especially how much we missed the Victoria Secret ones, can usually find one at Target last minute, and are pretty excited Aerie now sales them. But I think I’ve been able to figure out how to “grocery shop” without excessive meal planning. This makes stopping at a grocery store easier when coming back into town,…

Home Find: Our New Screen Porch

We learned quickly when buying a home that it trying to decorate the whole house can become costly and time consuming. So, after we purchased a few things we needed (and wanted), we started our house fund! This fund covers any repairs, updates, fees, and decorating we wanted to do around the house, and each month we put a little away to make sure we have a safety net. Since Memorial Day came with some sales for outdoor furniture and decor, we decided to spruce up our side porch with some of the money we had saved so we could enjoy it this summer. We already had this chair set…

    Beauty Find: Summer Makeup Essentials

Happy Monday! Excuse me for being MIA, work was a little hectic last week with Memorial Day Weekend. But I’m back with some exciting new posts ahead! I haven’t had a beauty find in a while, and thought this was the perfect time to share some of my favorite makeup products for the summer. Less is more, and that rings true in the South Carolina heat. When I’m getting ready this time of year, I want something light and provides that “summer glow”. These five products are usually all I use unless I need something dresser. Bare Minerals Foundation Powder I can’t use liquid foundation based on my skin type,…
