Minus some weather snaps here and there, Spring is here in Columbia! I like to think Masters Weekend brings this season in, and it was a wonderful weekend spent with friends and watching the Masters on Sunday with Phil. I have not always been a big golf fan, but he is slowly converting me. These past few days we’ve added a few home decorations to bring in the Spring season, and wanted to share them with you all for a little home inspiration.
When we moved into our apartment, I had found some pillows from Target that went really well with our decor. But they needed some updating in our new home and with this season. So, while in Target (are you surprised?) this weekend, I found some pillows that go with our living decor perfectly!
While I love the natural look, I love how we have pops of blue color throughout. This pilllow has two blue tones and the fringe decorating around the outside, perfect for our deep sitting couch. While I usually will pick out two different pillows, I loved these too much not to have both.
I love having a blanket to cuddle up with, and we received some beautiful ones for our wedding. We’ve been using those in the bedrooms, and need one for our living space. This one, also from Target, is light and great for the warmer temperatures. It is also a little smaller for our smaller couch. The gray and light pink tones tie in with the pillows and overall decor of our living space.
Another space we added some new decor is our dining room. We hosted my family for Easter, and my grandmother always taught me to have cloth napkins on hand for events such as this. The Saturday before I went searching and found quite the selection at Home Goods. I found brands such as Kate Spade and Ralph Lauren, which were beautiful and well priced. I ultimately went with these 100% cotton ones with the subtle design on the edge, and then the bright teal beaded napkin holders gave that pop of color.
Another way to add just a little spring pop to your room is through flowers. Just a small arrangement can make the room open up! Our favorite places to get arrangements include Cricket Newman, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, or at Soda City on Saturdays.
Just a few small additions to the house, but each room already feels lighter with them in there. The great thing is we didn’t break the budget add in them in!
Do you have any favorite room decor you add this time of year?
