Can you believe that 2017 will be ending in just a few days?! This has been a year to remember with getting married, celebrating family, and friends, and we couldn’t have been more blessed! Here is a look back at our favorite moments of 2017!
With a sinus infection and needing sleep, we cheered our Clemson Tigers onto a last play win in the National Championship! On New Years Day this year, we face Alabama again, so there is no telling what could happen.
Phil and I traveled to Florida for the ASPEN conference to present research, but one of my favorite parts of the trip was showing Phil around my old stomping grounds, Jacksonville.
We lifted, toned, and burned for the CAMP MATES here in Columbia! It was a great fundraiser at our local Pure Barre that went to a wonderful cause. These women make a big difference in our community through fitness and I always love getting to attend one of their classes!
We laid low this month, knowing things were going to be busy. This picture, however, was one of my favorites. We say every year were not going to go the St Patty’s Day festival, and yet this year was no different. We walked right on down and enjoyed some green beer.
We kicked off April with a wonderful couple’s shower thrown by our best friends! The low country boil at Craft and Draft was delicious and we had a grand time celebrating with everyone! These two could not have kicked off wedding celebrations any better!
Saint Simons Island couldn’t handle all of us as we celebrated Stacy’s bachelorette weekend!
Phil surprised me and my family with a visit from Katie! She was able to fly in from Saint Kitts for Memorial Day weekend for a quick catch up, and see our sister compete.
After the bachelorette, here comes marriage! We had a wonderful time celebrating these two getting married, and such a fun time on the dance floor!
In June we were showered in Knoxville, and we couldn’t have felt more loved! The “I Do” Bbq brought family and friends together, we could have had our wedding right here that weekend! Lilac Wine played some of our favorites, and we started the dance party a few months early.
My best friends set out on the biggest adventure as they moved across the country to Washington. I was so happy I could throw them one last party as they started their cross country road trip. While we have had them return to Cola a couple of times since then, I am so excited to travel to see them in 2018!
The annual Craft and Draft birthday party with people who are your family always bring fun times at this event! We of course ended a beer party with pizza!
This was one of my favorite trips we made the whole year! We traveled to Portland Maine to celebrate our dear friends, Rich and Katrina’s wedding! I ate my weight in oysters, tried my first lobster roll, and had the best potato doughnuts. And those were just the meals! The wedding was absolutely lovely, and we loved the whole evening celebrating Rich and Katrina!
My girls during August showered me with love in Savannah for my bachelorette party! We had a wonderful time “pedaling” and singing through downtown. I am so thankful they made all of my “Beyonce” dreams come true!
When the Reath’s talk about it being the best year ever, we really mean it! We had not one, but two wedding celebrations! Labor Day weekend brought everyone together to celebrate Chris and Lindsey, and it was so much fun! Between the return of Lilac Wine and Riverboat cruises, the party kept going all weekend long.
Was this month eventful?! Oh wait, that’s right, we got married! Make sure to check our wedding photos on this Friday Find!
After a wonderful honeymoon in DR, we returned to Knoxville to celebrate Lisa’s birthday! All of the siblings were back in town, and we had to chance to sit out by the fire pit and enjoy homemade pizza. It was the perfect pizza party celebrating the women we love so much, and who loves her family!
I started the blog this month, and have been so grateful for everyone following! It has been an experience that has made me come out of my shell a little bit, and really put my thoughts and ideas out there. Here’s to 2018 and keeping it real for ya 🙂 Also huge shout out to people who are patient and help me by taking pictures! Aka my bestie coming one Saturday to help me out!
It was our first Christmas married, and my first Christmas away from my family. My in-laws made me feel right at home with all of the celebrations, and we both felt very blessed this season! It was the perfect wrap up to the best year yet, and really made me feel apart of the family.
2017 brought so many celebrations and good times! We kicked off forever this past year, and I can’t wait to see what the many years hold ahead!
Happy New Year!
