    Juggling it All

I recently discovered the SHE Podcast by Jordan Lee Dooley, after listening to her interview on the Refined Collective. Some of her recent episodes really resonated with me, and felt the message could be shared with you all. As we enter the holiday season, and usually the busiest time of the year, we’re faced with the question of how to balance it all. Her episode “Overwhelmed vs Over-committed” was what I needed this week, and need to apply this holiday season. Tis the season of family time, holiday parties, and gift giving; while this is suppose to be the merriest time of the year, most of us end the season…

    Fashion Find: Leather Flats

Raise your hand if you have a favorite shoe?! Finding that perfect leather flat can be challenging, but once you find one, you own a closet classic. This year, when shopping for some work flats, I stumbled upon these at Target 🙂 Free People carry a similar shoe with lots of color options, but is a little more expensive. I wasn’t’ sure how the cut outs on the top would look, and wanted to trial them first. These have been so comfortable, and versatile when pairing with outfits. I wore these shoes all around Portland and Seattle, and they were so comfortable. They matched all of my outfits, whether it…

    Friday Finds: The Favorites Addition

Happy Friday! What a crazy week it has been for us! We started the week in Asheville, NC for our one year wedding anniversary 🙂 and once we came back, I left for Washington DC for 24 hours. Needless to say, the last two days at work have been a little hectic. Now that we’ve made it to the end of the week, I thought I would share my favorites as some weekend celebration for you all! Celebrating One Year Phil and I celebrated one year of marriage on October 21st, and it could not have been a more perfect weekend! We went to Asheville, the city we fell in…

    Portland Food Finds

Hello! And Happy Fall! I have definitely taken a hiatus from the blog for the past 2 months, but work and travel had us a little consumed. We recently went on a big trip to the Pacific Northwest, and had a vacation to remember! This place was on my bucket list for a long time, and love that my sister and best friend moved out there so we would have a reason to visit. We started our trip in Portland, Oregon to see Katie; she’s busy killing it in vet school at Corvallis, but drove over to the city for a few days. The Pacific Northwest does not lack food…

    Summer Gnocchi

Happy August! Phil and I recently went on a mini family vacation to Deltaville Virginia, and had an absolute blast! We hadn’t seen his family all summer, so it was the perfect weekend celebrating birthdays and spending time with one another. I have family in Richmond, but really hadn’t seen that part of the state before. The area is gorgeous, I don’t think we could have had better weather. The days were spent by the water, swimming, sailing, or jet skiing, and I managed to dodge the nettles haha. In the evenings, we cooked delicious food and played games with one another. It could not have been a better weekend…

Friday Find: Tazza Kitchen New Menu

Happy Friday! We made it through another week, and now it’s time for the weekend! And who doesn’t love a fun place to gather with friends for good drinks and delicious food? Remember my post about Tazza Kitchen Brunch?! It’s still one of our favorites in Columbia, and just a couple of weeks ago we went with friends for the new menu. They have recently released their new drinks for the summer, and you can’t go wrong with one of their beautiful cocktails. While sipping on something delicious, make sure you order some apps. We got the three spread option with toasted bread, along with the cast iron goat cheese.…
